Questions You Should Ask Before Hiring a Contractor
We launched our business in 2002 although we have a combined experience of over 50 years.
These are important questions to ask. Depending on the type of work to be done we will be using sub contractors whom we will directly manage. We may also perform some of the labor our selves depending on the type of work and the schedule. Through out the project your point of contact will be the supervisor assigned to the job.
Any responsible company will carry both to protect the homeowner and business form any unforeseen circumstances. Always verify this information by calling the agency. A copy of an insurance certificate will be provided upon request.
Although clients may communicate with subcontractors, no changes will be made until authorization is given by the project supervisor. This avoids any misunderstanding between the company and the homeowners that might have differing views on the project. The purpose is to have all parties involved approve changes to avoid conflict.

Questions Frequently Asked By Clients
That will depend on the scope of the work. If a job requires permits and design it can add 2-4 weeks to the start date once the design is finished and agreed upon.
We will provide the client with a schedule that provides the estimated time of completion. It is important to understand however that many decisions are homeowner driven such as finishes. The faster the contractor has the client’s final selections the more accurate the original estimated time will be.
That will depend on which part of the construction we are at. Homeowners will be provided with this information in a timely manner throughout the construction phase.
This will depend on the availability of subcontractors and permit inspections.
Only a very rough estimate can be given to homeowners given the fact that there are many unknowns until the project is better defined, homeowners should not rely on rough estimates.
The project scope and finishes selected will help to determine the cost.
